Recip: 127 (Summitt Donor Cow) 4 yr old. We stuck an embryo in her to get her to breed. She is incredible and is the Donor Dam of Lot 60 to 63 in this Sale.
Donor Dam: 178 - Headliner x Aftershock
Calf Sire: Here I Am
Due Date: 2/11/19 with Bull calf
Recip Comment: Every sale needs a ''Feature Lot'' right? Well, my lot one is a 5 year old Summit daughter out of Panda. If any of you paid close attention to Dr. Dave Duello's footnotes in the Western Elite Sale you will quickly understand the excitement that this female generates when I start talking about her. Not only is she carrying a BULL CALF due 2-11-19 by HIA & the HEADLINER donor but you are likely buying the most elite cow to leave Roseville Illinois in the past few years. I told Rosa the other day after watching her walk around the frozen lot, it was as if she had snow shoes for feet. She just motored in a completely different manner than the rest. Coupled with the fact that she was blessed from birth with a bigger softer hair coat than a black bear leads me to believe the next few years look very promising. (She has horns fyi)
Donor Comment: A lot of breeders make reference to what they call a sure thing in there footnotes but I have been beating my head against the wall for 26 years now and have yet to figure out what exactly a ''sure thing'' is. However each breeding season I tend to gravitate toward certain sires that might eliminate a little more uncertainity in terms of calf crop consistency. The same can be said about ones donor cow. When you isolate a female that exhibits the characteristics such as 178 that compliments a sire like HERE I AM one simply needs to put the head down and mass replicate. The birth dates are scattered to darn near cover every single major steer show in the country. Im not guaranteeing anything...but owning an asset such as one of these recips will more than likely position you with the whose who of the Club Calf Circle. The fun part will be calving them in and capitalizing on your new investment.
